Kikkerland's Design Challenge helps to introduce young designers to the international market and gives them a real-life experience in bringing a product to consumers. Designed by Stephanie Suárez and a winner of the Mexican Design Challenge, this corkscrew is inspired by the Day of the Dead holiday in Mexico. Every year the lives of loved ones who have passed are celebrated with offerings, food and drink. Sugar skulls are part of this tradition and serve as the inspiration for this design.
